G-Force and the Pursuit of Greatness

Accomplishing extraordinary things requires contending not only with our own process but also involves overcoming the opposing tension of collective suffering and apathy. Humanity is largely comprised of people living with fear, lack, broken dreams and great unrealised potential. This mass of defeated thoughts and feelings informs our collective field of consciousness and creates an oppressive background atmosphere. Though invisible, the pervasive drag it creates is palpable. Sometimes internal, sometimes external. For those who strive to rise up in pursuit of great meaningful success, the drag can often feel overwhelming. At times it can feel like the kind of all consuming rattling that takes hold of a rocket ship as it thrusts upward from earth, pressing against the force of gravity. The reverberation of acting to overcome the collective mire can shake us to the core. There’s a lot to be held together to successfully complete great transformational journeys.

For those who pursue grand endeavours despite the environment, its useful to know how to counter the challenges.

In short, our vulnerabilities consist primarily of emotional wounding. Every unresolved emotional issue we hold onto offers an anchor point for entanglement in the collective struggle. And every time we stop to delve into the core of an emotional glitch, we free ourselves from another snag that has resonance in the collective soup. We become more streamlined to facilitate our exit from the human chaos and to succeed with our dreams.

There are some very simple things that can make all the difference to being able to withstand and break into the freedom of a completely different atmosphere beyond. They are simple earthly things:

Water

As a naturopath, my favourite remedy, far above any of the awesome array of natural formulas I could prescribe, was water. Just about everything in the body works better when we’re hydrated – more energy, clearer thinking, stronger digestion etc. But even more importantly, beyond the very many physical health benefits, water helps us both emotionally and spiritually. It is a powerful ally when contending with collective energetic influences.

On an emotional level, the more hydrated we are, the more readily we can feel our feelings. (People who refuse emotions usually have an aversion to drinking water). A fluid body allows more ease with surfacing untoward emotions for release, and more steadiness to hold the feelings we desire. It also supports greater discernment to know what feelings belong to us and what feelings are coming from others.

In a more spiritual context, ample water improves receptivity to intuitive prompts and enhances our sensitivity to helpful guidance from realms beyond the mind.

Caffeine is the enemy of hydration. Steering clear of it altogether sets the best foundation to establish proper hydration. Two and a half litres of water can be a good daily target. But aim to drink all of that by 11:30am. Place the first litre beside your bed at night and finish that within the first 20 minutes of rising in the morning.

Stillness

The ability to sit still and remain present with oneself amidst disturbance is critical in securing meaningful growth. Often it feels counterintuitive to sink deeper into a discomfort. The impulse instead is usually to move and find distraction to outrun or disassociate from the unwanted feeling. Any yet stillness nearly always offers the fastest and most successful remedy. If there’s anger, can we remain with it without taking action to make it go away? If there is grief, can we settle in and allow as many tears as possible? If there is a deep nagging disturbance of unidentifiable origin, is it possible to surrender and allow the darkest depths of it to surface?

So long as there is unresolved emotion that remains, there will tend to be an inclination to abandon the exercise and get back to the day. The aim is to remain until there is an inner yielding whereby the stillness suddenly feels deeply soothing and to stay with it becomes a pleasure.

For me, I’ll either sit cross legged on the couch with my back very straight and my eyes closed or I’ll go outside and lay belly down on the grass. I’ll be insistent with myself to stay until the disturbance has washed all the way through to leave a pervasive calm in it’s wake.

Nature

The natural world also exists amidst the same oppression we experience and yet it maintains it’s healthy orientation towards growth. Despite environmental circumstances, nature continues through cycles of change with an unrelenting force to maintain itself and adapt where possible. The human spirit can benefit enormously from embodying the deep prevailing wisdom and unwavering growth focused impulse of nature.

The energetics of nature offer both cleansing and inspiration for the aspirational soul. To amplify the alignment, try going barefoot or at sunrise.

These three simple elements can make an extraordinary difference when reaching for the stars to anchor wildly wonderful new realities. Every spark of our personal success adds positively to the collective experience to tip the balance towards greater ease for all.
